The Sea Wolf is Zodiac's most important and iconic watch design. First released in 1953, it is one of the watches that has defined the modern dive watch. Featuring a rotating bezel, large lumed markers and hands, and a steel bracelet, it had all of the elements needed for a diver. It was also the first watch marketed to consumers rather than specialists, with dive-specific features. The modern Super Sea Wolfs draw directly from the original, but with updated sizes, specs, and an eye for color and style.
Featuring a contemporary 40mm case, the Super Sea Wolf 53 mixes utility and elegance into a sporty package. Featuring applied markers with generous lume fillings and polished steel surrounds the dials are highly visible, yet not inappropriate in an office setting. The shovel hands add unique sportiness and maintain high legibility. 200 meters of water resistance, sapphire crystals and bracelets with expandable clasps make this an ideal companion above and below sea level.
Powering the Super Sea Wolf is the STP 1-11 caliber. This Swiss-made automatic movement features 26-jewels, date (if used), hacking seconds, a power reserve of 44hr and a frequency of 28,800 bph for a smooth sweeping seconds hand.
