With the Extreme Automatic, Alpina injects bold geometry and modern toughness into a compact, wrist-friendly format. Recalling the brand’s history of rugged tool watches, this collection was all about textured dials, integrated case lines, and utility-driven performance wrapped in sharp alpine style. Now, it has been given new proportions to accommodate more wrist.
Both versions now feature a 39mm (instead of the 41mm of the previous generation) stainless steel tonneau case with a mix of polished and brushed surfaces, oversized crown guards, and a slightly domed sapphire crystal. The dials are deeply patterned with a grid motif — a design signature pulled from the original Alpiner Extreme. You get a vibrant navy blue on one model, and a desert-toned beige on the other, both matched to comfortable rubber straps in complementary tones.
Inside, the Swiss-made AL-525 (Base Sellita SW200) automatic keeps things ticking reliably with 38 hours of power reserve and a smooth sweep second hand. Rated to 200 meters of water resistance and finished with a screw-down crown and display caseback, the Alpina Alpiner Extreme Automatic is as much a technical tool as it is a bold design statement.
