In the mid-twentieth century, once brands had created multiple time zone “GMT” models, the next step was to clock the world. While there are complex methods of doing so, the simplest and perhaps the most elegant is simply by combining a 24-hour hand, and a bezel featuring cities in all 24 time zones as a reference. In 1970 Zodiac did just that, and now, in 2021, they have brought it back.

The Zodiac Super Sea Wolf World Time, features their tried-and-true 40mm steel case with 200m of water resistance and a sapphire crystal on top, making it usable from the boardroom to the beach. The dial features a sunray surface with glistening applied markers, surrounded by a contrasting 24-hour index. But the bezel is what makes this watch stand out. Available in either bright scarlet red or deep black, the insert is used to track the world at a glance. Simply set your home time, turn the bezel to align the hand with the city in your time zone, and there you have it. Great for travel, but also for those with family, friends, and business interests abroad.

Inside of the Zodiac Super Sea Wolf World Time is the Soprod C-125. This Swiss-made movement is a 25-jewel automatic with date, independent 24-hour hand, hand-winding, 42-hour power reserve, a frequency of 28,880 bph (beats per hour), and hacking seconds (the second-hand stops when the crown is pulled out).
